I'm so glad the espresso machine is all fixed up, Frank was having a lot of problems with it this week/last week...

I love trying the coffee and combining the taste with a certain food. I had the brew of the day yesterday (I believe it was Chocolate Almond?) And I was eating a peanutbutter/chocolate candy and it brought out the almondy flavor really strongly in the coffee, it was cool. :)

St. Patricks!
The St. Patrick's menu was delicious from what I tried, what did everyone else think? I got one of the hot chocolate mixes last week, there were a couple different ones with mint and irish cream flavors in them.

Lately I've been testing out stuff. I love the almond milk, the diablo menthe, and the stimulator. Ever since I found this place I've been kinda wondering if I'm ever there the same time as you other members... It would be an awkward way to meet, no? XD

I just noticed last night that Pam has some new photos on the wall over by the metro times. They're pretty awesome. She said they're probably going to be putting some more new ones up. Woohoo! Can't wait!

Joining ths community was completely inevitable.
I've been going up there for probably 3-4 years now, and I have definitely achieved "regular" status though I like to order the "brew of the day" for two weeks and then walk in and order something completely different and random. I've had so many memories in the place itself. I actually accidently went to it for the first time during a street fair where it stormed and I ran inside and looked around and asked my friend next to me, "What haven't I been there before?"

I'm usually the person that shows up with a ridiculous amounts of bags and backpacks scattered everywhere and I draw the whole time with a couple of my friends, and my 'horrible' taste in apparel might be considered distinctive. I used to show up with an old friend I had at the time and read newly bought comic books on the table, but that turned into going into it with my significant other and sit in the corner and complain our uneducated views on politics.

I guess there isn't too much to say other than I've been there well over 300 times, and I was very surprised when I first ran into Creepy Clyde. I've spent a lot of time up there... it's probably my favorite place to ever be in this city.

i just randomly thought this was interesting
hi, this is from robert, that guy with the scarf and the black and white checkered coat that is sometimes reading, playing a board game, or on a laptop. i saw that the site was inactive so i decided to cross post something. its not related to the city but its definitely coffeehouse conversation material. that is a stretch though. if going off topic here is a problem let me know and i won't do it again.

Algae - like a breath mint for smokestacks
By Mark Clayton | Staff writer of The Christian Science Monitor
BOSTON – Isaac Berzin is a big fan of algae. The tiny, single-celled plant, he says, could transform the world's energy needs and cut global warming.

Overshadowed by a multibillion-dollar push into other "clean-coal" technologies, a handful of tiny companies are racing to create an even cleaner, greener process using the same slimy stuff that thrives in the world's oceans.

Although I love the city coffe house, lately I've been captivated by Starbuck's frappicinos (sp?). And I feel like I've been cheating on Frank and the City Coffee House. So I will make it up to him and buy like ten hot almond milks.

The World Is Full Of Poo
Funny times last night. While Pam and Frank were closing up Jeff and Pam were having a chat about the lady that fell out of her chair and caused a minor scene last night. Apparently she was trying to commit suicide or something and looking for a knife. Good luck with that butter knife!

Frank wandered over and spouted off an idea for a children's book that would be kinda cute. It'd be all about different kinds of poo from different animals and things. It would be called "The World Is Full Of Poo". The thing I want to know is how long has Frank been thinking of that? It's amusing.

Pam was nice enough to turn the "City Coffeehouse" sign on for us last night so that we could confirm that it still lights up. I guess I just never notice it until they're closed and I'm standing around like a lost little puppy outside.

Would you guys want to read Frank's book of poo?

City Shims
Went up to City tonight. Sat with Tyree and chris. I was thinking before I went tonight, 'I hope they have Kenya AA as the global brew' then when I got there it totally was which made me super happy. The coffee was good but the banana nut muffin I got really hit the spot.

Stood out front talking with Tyree and chris for what seemed like forever.

The trees that line allen road are turning yellow and starting to fall. I love it when the leaves get tracked into the city and they are all over the floor.
AHHH, autumn at the city.

I was thinking the other day that I've been going to the coffeehouse for almost nine years. In that time, I've never really paid much attention to the other people that go there. Most of the regulars are kind of old, so I don't really talk to them. Then again, I'm getting kind of old. So it was pretty spiffy of Jeff to make this little community. Hopefully we can all make some new friends and share some funny stories about Frank and Pam, but mostly Frank.

Someone had an entry about what their favorite drink at the City is. Mine's just the City Brew. Every once in a while I go out on a limb and get a peach and orange Italian soda. Yum yum. OF course Frank has to make it because his drinks always taste better for some reason.

My favorite drink at the city coffee house is Hot Almond Milk. I love it. ^_^ I love anything almond flavoring really. Frank does such a wonderful job with everything-I just felt the need to share that.
